Reviews
We ventured here on a recommendation, and while it was decent enough, that's all it was. I've given three stars as by Google maps definition that's "it's ok" and that's exactly what my thoughts were. Nothing to complain about but nothing great either. Portion sizes for fish and chips (or fish supper as sold here) were just ok, every bit polished off by both adults and children in my party. The fish bites portion was pretty decent.
Chips were similar to oven chips and the batter was dry and crispy. This might be a matter of taste and some might love it. Personally I have had better and worse in the world of fish and chips. I waited around 5 minutes to order and a further 15-20 to collect.
Salt, vinegar, tomato sauce sachets and plastic cutlery were all free which was good.
Some of the best fish and chips I've ever had. Had a Cod Supper. Tasty, not excessively greasy, unctious batter, chips nicely browned. Order from the booth. Told it was a 25-minute wait but was about 15 minutes maximum. Eat in the sit-in area or sit by the harbour looking out which we did. Feels like a real seaside experience.
Best chips on the north coast, good portions though slightly expensive (have to pay for Mayo) and menu was a bit ambiguous so we ended up buying an extra portion of chips we didn’t need. Really enjoyed the fish and scampi, amazing flavour. Located near some lovely clean benches outside on the harbour.
Hello Grease!
That sums it up. Greasy chips and greasy batter. I left a generous 3 star review, as we were hungry and polished it off overlooking the stunning coastline and our dog (evidently) loved a few of the leftover chips!
This place has won awards for its seafood and I can see why! During the summer there will usually be a long line of people waiting from opening until close, but I found the length of time to wait was pretty standard. Probably waited about …
got a haddock supper with curry sauce - haddock supper was £11.40, pretty dammn expensive. chips were ok enough but fish was a let down - not that thick and defo seemed to be over cooked and a bit tough. not really worth £11.40 which is crazy money for a fish supper.
Our tour of the Antrim Coast stopped in Bally Castle and we found Morton's. The fish n chips were SO yummy. Made fresh to order which wet loved.
Autumn visit to mortons whilst having a chilled day touring the causeway coast. Just like previous visits the fish and chips were delicious cooked to order. We visited just after it opened at 1230 and took advantage of the covered seating area to enjoy our tasty lunch.
Wow what can I say this fish is unreal in this place a full length cod plus 2 battered sussages. £14.99 with a view like this whats not to love
This place USED to be the best fish and chip anywhere. That title is WELL and TRULY GONE!
Chips were rubbish. As if they were out of a bag. Where are the old thick cut …
